Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of a scalp treatment?

Scalp spa treatments promote healthy hair growth, relieve scalp conditions, and improve overall scalp health.as well has provide relief for migraines, tension headaches and tmj.

How often should I schedule scalp treatments?

The frequency of scalp treatments depends on your individual needs. We recommend 4-8 weeks.

Headaches/Migraines/TMJ 4 weeks

Hair thinning/hair loss 6-8 weeks

Scalp Health 6 weeks

Should I wash my hair before my treatment?

No, we recommend coming with 24-48 hour unwashed hair the day of your service. If it has been longer than that please wash your hair prior to your service.

Is it okay to have a scalp facial before or right after a chemical service?

No, we recommend waiting a week after any chemical service. This includes color, highlights, perms/relaxers, etc. It is best to reserve your scalp facial before your chemical service.

Is it okay to have extensions and get a scalp facial?

No we don not recommend getting a scalp facial with hair extensions. It could potentially loosen them and cause slippage and tangles. We strongly recommend a scalp facial the week of your move up appointment. IF you have hair extensions please call us for a phone consultation.

What should I wear to my appointment?

We recommend wearing comfy and cozy clothes, something you can easily change in and out of as we have you dress down into a spa robe.

Can I wear makeup to my appointment?

Yes. Although we recommend little to no makeup when you arrive, we do offer makeup removal wipes.

What if you are bald?

Yes, you can enjoy a scalp facial. Hair acts as a barrier and without hair your treatment is definitely more of a sensual experience. No hair, No problem.

Are your services for men?

Yes! Men can enjoy our treatments as well. 

Do you offer Blowout services?

No, we do not provide blowout services. We do not recommend blowouts after receiving a scalp facial as your scalp can be very sensitive to heat as well dry out quickly with the excess heat. 

Do you service locs, twists, braids, etc?

Yes! We can and do services these hairstyles with the caveat of only servicing the week of your reloc, twist appointment. We need ample regrowth to be able to maneuver around them and get to the scalp. The scalp facial will then be able to prep the hair and scalp for your next style session.
